Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Itinerary

Take a panoramic tour of Dublin and pass Trinity College, home of the Book of Kells, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, O’Connell Street, Europe’s widest street, Christchurch Cathedral and the Bank of Ireland, formerly the Irish House of Parliament.

Day 2 Itinerary

Your route will take you south for a photo stop of the Rock of Cashel, once home to the High Kings of Munster. Your drive continues on to Blarney where you will visit the castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone to gain the gift of the gab! Continue to Killarney.

Day 3 Itinerary

Today take an exciting tour of the famous Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry is part of the mystical & unspoiled region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question and it provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland. The circle is completed as your route takes you to Ladies View, a particular scenic spot. Opt to take a ride in a traditional horse drawn cart around the Lakes of Killarney.

Day 4 Itinerary

Head north crossing the Shannon River by ferry into Kilimer, County Clare. Your first stop today is the majestic, spectacular, and mighty Cliffs of Moher. Rising 700 feet above the ocean and extending 5 miles, the Cliffs offer sweeping views of the Atlantic, the Aran Islands, and Galway Bay. Arrive in Galway, “the city of Tribes” named after the fourteen families who originally settled in the area. Here enjoy this historic city by visiting the Cathedral and the Claddagh area, famous for the Claddagh ring.

Day 5 Itinerary

Explore the rugged yet serene Connemara area. This rocky land of broad-backed mountains and pearl-like lakes is the largest Irish speaking section of the country and the old traditions and way of life are as much a part of Connemara’s attractions as is the scenery. Drive along the shores of Lough Corrib and then westward through Maam Cross to Leenane. Return to Galway.

Day 6 Itinerary

Travel to Knock where you will visit the Marian Shrine and Basilica, Ireland’s place of pilgrimage. Continue on to the grave of William Butler Yeats, Irish poet, dramatist, mystic and public figure. Then head along the coast where you will visit the stately Lissadell House, an inspirational retreat of WB Yeats and his painter brother Jack B Yeats. Continue to Letterkenny.

Day 7 Itinerary

Explore some of the rugged scenery of Northern Ireland. Your stops today include the Giants Causeway, often described as the "eighth wonder of the world". Take the circular walk around the spectacular rock formations and have time in the visitors center. Staying on the coastal road, stop off for a tipple at the Old Bushmills Distillery, the site of the world’s oldest legal whiskey distillery, established in 1608. Take a tour of the distilling process and sample the product. Arrive in Belfast in the late afternoon.

Day 8 Itinerary

Depart for a panoramic sightseeing tour of Belfast City, the birthplace of the Titanic. Belfast is rich in history and steeped in culture. Today it is as famous for its stylish shops, gourmet restaurants and wicked nightlife as it is for its troubled past. See Belfast City Hall, Linen Hall Library, Stormont House, Grand Opera House, St. Anne's Cathedral, Ulster Museum and the Botanic Gardens.

Day 9 Itinerary

Travel south to Downpatrick, one of Ireland’s most famous and historic towns. Saint Patrick was reputedly buried here in 461 on Cathedral Hill within the grounds of Down Cathedral. His grave is still a place of pilgrimage on St Patrick’s Day. Continue to Armagh where you will enjoy a tour of the city before going to the beautiful 15th century Cabra Castle, situated in Kingscourt County Cavan where you will spend the night.
